About Us:
DAAR Engineering, Inc. is an award-winning Wisconsin based civil engineering and construction management firm comprised of experienced engineers, technicians, and project managers specializing in both public and private sector improvement projects. We are currently seeking Civil Engineers with a Construction or Design focus to join our Portage office and job sites.

Position:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
  • 1-20 years of relevant experience
  • Possess a broad-based knowledge of the construction and/or design process
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written, graphical and verbal forms
  • Experience with Microsoft Office required
  • Knowledge of highway engineering principles found in AASHTO manuals
  • Knowledge of Wisconsin Department of Transportation FDM (Facilities Development Manual) desirable
  • Knowledge of Wisconsin Department of Transportation and local agency procedures is a plus
  • Certifications in WisDOT Highway Technician Program desirable
  • Civil 3D experience desirable
  • Survey Experience desirable
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and provide own means of reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel as needed for meetings, on-site inspections, etc.
  • Ability to multitask a variety of office and fieldwork duties
  • Possess both technical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of highway improvement projects in accordance with established processes
  • Perform highway and bridge construction inspection
  • Review, read and interpret project plans and construction documents
  • Provide assistance to overall project team activities by functioning as a member of a division or project team
  • Perform roadway design work using Civil 3D software

Pay: Based on qualifications and experience with hourly rates starting at $34.00 per hour.
