Position Summary:

ISI is looking for an experienced construction manager with a background in structural building construction systems construction and with expertise in the construction industry to provide Owner's Representative construction management services to a Federal client in the healthcare industry. The engineer will work to support a Federal client on ongoing construction projects exceeding $100m. Duties include providing a wide range of analytical and planning, design, and construction management support services to assist the client. The position will support more senior government project managers and fellow contractor project managers, who will work as part of a larger design/construction program. The ability to lead and work as a team AND work independently are critical. ISI is seeking an individual who will be a clear communicator, takes initiative and embraces project ownership.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· The civil engineer must have 6 years experiencing in the discipline of civil engineering.

· The civil engineer must possess experience reviewing design and construction plans against existing site conditions.

· The civil engineer must possess experience in the resolution of unforeseen site and design conditions/problems and propose cost effective technical solutions.

· The civil engineer must possess experience conducting inspections and inventories of such structures to identify and note deficiencies, problems, or the general physical condition of such structures.

· Assist in the planning and coordination of utility outages.

· Experience reviewing contractor submittals for technical compliance and RFIs, preparing draft statements of work and/or cost estimates, and reviewing contractor change proposals and cost breakdowns.

· Ability to provide cost estimates and take-offs for contract modifications.

· Ability to determine compliance of workmanship, materials, equipment and installed work with contract requirements and industry standards.

· Knowledge of governmental contracting procedures, principles, guidelines and public law.

Required Education:

· The CIVIL ENGINEER must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution of higher learning.

Preferred:

· Medical facilities experience.

· PE License (any state)

· Occasionally required to move 5 – 15 pounds.

Work Setting/Environment/Travel Requirements:

· Monday through Friday, Normal business hours 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
