Civil and Drainage Engineer



Location: Hull

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Civil and Drainage Engineer to join a growing consultancy in Hull. This is an ideal role for an engineer with solid design experience who wants to work across a wide range of exciting development projects while progressing their technical skills and professional capability. You will join a friendly, forward thinking team that values collaboration, innovation and high quality engineering.



As a Civil and Drainage Engineer, you will support the design and delivery of drainage and civil engineering solutions for projects across education, commercial, residential, industrial, energy and specialist sectors. You will be involved in preparing drainage strategies, producing detailed designs using Civil 3D and InfoDrainage, supporting planning applications and contributing to technical reports. The role also includes attending site visits, undertaking assessments and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes.



Key Responsibilities



Produce detailed drainage and civil engineering designs and technical documentation.



Use Civil 3D and InfoDrainage to develop foul and surface water drainage solutions.



Support planning submissions through clear and accurate report writing.



Carry out site assessments and contribute to project feasibility.



Work collaboratively with clients, contractors and internal teams.



Assist junior team members when required and contribute to maintaining high technical standards.



About You



Minimum three years' experience in civil and drainage design.



Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.



Competent using Civil 3D and InfoDrainage.



Strong communication skills and an organised, proactive approach.



Full UK driving licence.
