Civil Construction Estimator in Camden

We are seeking an experienced Sitework Estimator to join our growing civil construction team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for site development projects including earthwork, utilities, grading, paving, and storm drainage.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills and experience reviewing civil drawings, specifications, and bid documents. Ideally the candidate has experience with warehouses, commercial sites, & sub-divisions. Experience with public contracting and heavy civil construction is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents • Perform quantity takeoffs for earthwork, utilities, grading, and paving • Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes • Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals • Identify project risks and value engineering opportunities • Coordinate with project managers and field operations during bidding • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when required • Maintain bid logs and estimating databases

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience estimating sitework / civil construction • Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, utilities, and paving • Ability to read and interpret civil drawings • Experience with estimating and takeoff software • Strong Excel and analytical skills • Strong organizational and communication abilities

• Experience with HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Agtek, Planswift,  or similar software • Background in civil construction or engineering
