Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Chief Propulsion Design Engineer to join our cutting-edge aerospace team. In this role, you will lead the design, analysis, and optimization of jet propulsion systems, contributing to the development of high-performance aircraft engines. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, extensive experience in propulsion systems, and a passion for advancing aerospace technology.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design Leadership: Lead the design and development of jet propulsion engines, components and systems, ensuring compliance with performance and safety standards.
· Project Management: Oversee propulsion-related projects from concept through testing, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals and budgets.
· Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans for propulsion systems, analyze test data, and prepare comprehensive reports to support design validation and certification efforts.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of propulsion systems into aircraft platforms.
· Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
· Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and technology advancements, contributing to the development of next- propulsion systems.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree or Ph.D. .
· 10+ years of experience in jet propulsion engineering or a related aerospace field, with a proven track record of successful projects.
· Strong expertise in propulsion system design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and/or materials used in aerospace applications.
· Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.
· Strong leadership and project management abilities, with effective communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
· This position is limited to U.S. , as defined under applicable federal regulations.
Qualifications:
· Experience with engine testing processes.
· Familiarity with advanced manufacturing techniques and emerging propulsion technologies.
