Process Operator (Chemical)

3x Shift (Earlies/Lates/Nights)

gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Process Technician to work at their facility based near Widnes
Performance Objectives

- Operating a variety of chemical plant and equipment
\n
\n
- \n
- following detailed process instructions and completion of process records
- control / troubleshooting of multiple production processes
- Includes simple in-process analytical testing
- Involves regular manual handling of chemicals
- Involves periodic decontamination of equipment for statutory inspections

- Will be expected to undertake First Aid training
- Will be expected to participate in the site Emergency Response team
- Will be expected to participate in process and EHS improvements

Person Specification
\n
- \n
- NVQ2 or equivalent
- Previous Loader/Operator experience preferably Shift worker
- COMAH Experience advantageous
- Basic numeracy and literacy essential
- Basic computer skills advantageous
- Counterbalance FLT licence advantageous
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge (5S, Kaizen & 7 wastes) advantageous
- Experience in the chemical industry is not vital but a manufacturing background would be advantageous
