Chemical Process Operator I (CPO I) – $23.23–$28/hr | Evening Shift | Controlled Lab Environment
Location: Hercules, CA
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
Duration: 2–3 Month Assignment

What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare, weigh, measure, and mix materials to create stock solutions and finished products
- Perform calculations to ensure precise material ratios and batch accuracy
- Operate reactors and large-scale production equipment, including monitoring and adjustments
- Conduct in-process testing (pH, conductivity, etc.) and collect samples
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues; support root cause analysis when needed
- Handle hazardous chemicals safely, including proper disposal procedures
- Wear full PPE, including supplied-air respirators, in a controlled environment
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and prepare equipment for maintenance or servicing
- Execute SAP transactions (inventory, goods receipt/issue, labor tracking)
- Document all production activities accurately and in real-time
- Communicate cross-functionally with Quality, Planning, and Inventory teams
- Support continuous improvement by recommending updates to SOPs and processes
What You Bring to the Table
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 0–3 years of experience in manufacturing, lab, or production environments
- Strong math skills (unit conversions, ratios, calculations)
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP or ERP experience is a plus
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and work within GMP guidelines
- Comfortable working with hazardous materials and wearing full PPE
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and solve problems efficiently
