HIRING IMMEDIATELY: CHEMICAL MIXER / COMPOUNDER IN ALLENTOWN, PA
Accurate Personnel is hiring for a Chemical Mixer / Compounder to join our client in Allentown, PA. This individual will be responsible for pouring and pumping materials into mixing tanks. Pay, Schedule, Location
Ranging at $22.00 - $24.00/hour, paid weekly
3:30 pm - 12 am
Location in Allentown, PA
Duties and Responsibilities
Must be able to consistently and routinely lift up to 55 lbs
Operate forklift/ 55 gallon drum hauler
Need to be comfortable working around tanks and equipment that reach temperatures up to 176°F (80°C)
Following safety protocols and procedures related to chemical handling
Accurately weigh small amounts of ingredients (tenths of a gram) to large amounts (several hundred kilos)
Pour/pump materials into mix tanks
Manually control and monitor mixing temperatures via steam valves
Manually control and monitor agitation speeds
Run basic, in-process tests primarily pH but you'll also need to do visual checks
Pump out finished mixes into pails, drums, and totes
Clean and sanitize all processing vessels, utensils, pumps, etc., according to procedures
Requirements and Qualifications
2 years of chemical mixing experience in quantities of 100 kilos or greater
Sit-down forklift experience
Strong attention to detail
Good basic math skills (all interviewees will need to pass a basic math test)
Mechanical aptitude the ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of diaphragm pumps, electric and air agitators, etc
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Must be able to consistently and routinely lift to 50 lbs, and requires the ability to stand, walk, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift
