Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the productivity and quality of all products manufactured. Ensure equipment is set to correct manufacturing specification as detailed in the production folder. Ensure that the correct material is being processed as detailed on the process card. Operation Set-Ups must be performed as instructed through Set-Up Sheets and Process information. Responsible for the documentation of all production and quality data as instructed by the process card and production data input onto roll tickets as required. Supports and follows company policies, procedures, work instructions, including the Quality Management System. Maintain excellent housekeeping - organize and clean work area daily to ensure work area is efficient and safe. Clean equipment as instructed by Supervisor. This includes product change overs, daily cleaning schedules, and any projects assigned by Supervision. Train new employees to a competent level and sign off using the company training system. Assist Maintenance Staff in the repair and troubleshooting of equipment. Observe all Safety Rules and regulations and advise Supervision of any safety issues that need attention. To regularly patrol equipment during production runs to identify any quality issues. To inform supervisor or any faults/quality issues. Manual handling of material onto machine before and after processing. Measure and record accurately the width/length/weight and airperm of felt on process card. Ensure material is not damaged due to mishandling. Accurately record information on roll tickets as required. Input correct data into the company database. Complete necessary paperwork in neat and legible handwriting. Ensure waste material is kept to a minimum. Bale up waste material and process in compact bailer. To check that the machine is operating correctly. Immediately report any machine faults to management/maintenance. To undertake basic machine maintenance. Maintain high levels of housekeeping. Carry out all work to the requirements of the company quality standard. To undertake any Continuous Improvement activities as required.
