Looking for problem solvers, creative thinkers, collaborative, disciplined and self-motivated engineers. As part of the Microelectronics engineering group, which is a sub-group of Mission Systems, we develop and build communication and aviation electronic solutions. Our team is looking for a motivated, disciplined, and/or experienced process engineer. In this role, the candidate will lead the development and sustaining of patterning modules across Z-Fab technology. This role is onsite, in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role may be eligible for relocation.

You
Will Do:
You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining all patterning processes: i.e. lithography, dry etch, and wafers cleaning...
You will be responsible for developing and transferring processes to the operation group.
You will be expected to document process details and drive the continuous improvement of process capability index, Cpk, across all patterning modules.
You will be responsible for the development of fabrication processes for the next of products.
You will focus on Collins' Z-Fab 3D microscale fabrication manufacturing capability.

Will Learn:
You will learn the microelectronic manufacturing of RF filters in ZFAB.
You will learn how to perform the research and development of multiple challenging process steps of metallization.
You will learn about engineering and project management as you drive the planning, the evaluation, the qualification, and the execution of complex projects.
Qualifications

Must Have:
Requires a Bachelor's degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience in working closely with microelectronic fabrication environment.
Understand characterization techniques on wafers and EOL (end of line) failure mechanisms.
Understanding of statical process control and metrology.
Design and develop mechanical tooling for microelectronic devices.
Demonstrated ability to plan and to manage projects, to troubleshoot problems root cause, and implement creative root cause fixes.

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
