A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Full-Time, On-Site, First Shift, Chemical Handler / Packaging Operator in Princeton, NJ!
Chemical Handler / Packaging Operator Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM (Closed weekends & holidays)
Chemical Handler / Packaging Operator Responsibilities
· Accurately weigh and pack orders into appropriate containers following instructions.
· Operate all scales used to weigh products for packing.
· Apply company labeling procedures for packing and repacking orders, including strict destruction of extra labels.
· Operate pumps, filters, scales, and computer systems to complete assigned tasks.
· Collect samples from raw materials and finished products for testing in accordance with Quality Control requirements.
· Safely operate forklifts, drum handling equipment, and Big Joe Lift equipment.
· Inspect all containers prior to filling, following department inspection protocols.
· Store materials properly by adhering to storage requirements for racks, freezers, cold boxes, and hot boxes.
· Perform additional duties as assigned.
Chemical Handler / Packaging Operator Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-year experience handling chemicals
- 0–2 years of packing experience
- Experience operating equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)
Chemical Handler / Packaging Operator Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand 60%–90% of the day
- Ability to frequently lift a 35 lb. product hose
- Ability to move, lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.
- Must wear required PPE at all times
- Willingness to work in environments with minimal temperature control (hot & cold variations)
- Must be able to operate a forklift
