Chemical/Environmental Engineering Intern - Water (Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin)
DescriptionAn Intern will work collaboratively with our team to support our Water Group. This position will provide support and assistance with requests in support of the business strategy. The Intern will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting process plans according to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs. Assist with responses to general questions.Assists with modifying and reviewing production drawings for a variety of projects including municipal/industrial water and wastewater treatment.Assists in the process design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completionParticipate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.Applies basic knowledge of commonly used process engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the water and wastewater engineering services industry.Assists with research and compiles project related data as required by the project managers.All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a postsecondary education and/or technical certificate program in a field related to the work done in the department.Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Strong problem solving and analytical skills.Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Demonstrated leadership skills.Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status EEO/Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans Job Intern Primary Location US-TX-Dallas Other Locations US-TX-Fort Worth, US-TX-Austin Schedule: Full-time Travel: Yes, 5 % of the Time Req ID: 224172 #LI-EC #WTR
