Description

GENERAL SUMMARY: Professional with at least 1-5 years of proven experience providing engineering and analysis support, preferably in a DoD and/or laboratory setting.
LOCATION: Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock, West Bethesda, MD
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research marine environmental equipment for the US Navy.
- Draft test plans and operating procedures for research and development laboratory testing and evaluation purposes.
- Conduct testing and evaluation of marine environmental systems in a laboratory setting; troubleshooting systems when necessary.
- Documenting results in the form of equipment matrices, large data analyses, and detailed final reports.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental)

REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Able to apply principals of engineering standards to develop test methodology and to perform data analysis.
- Ability to present test results in a clear and concise manner and to write technical reports is essential.

- Experience testing equipment in a laboratory setting. This includes design of experiments, testing the equipment, and data gathering and analysis.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: waste processing, heat transfer, and environmental standards/regulations.
- Experience providing support to Navy or USCG programs and customers.
- Experience working in the maritime industry.
