Full-Time Chef / Operations Manager

Fit Kitchen Meals – Magnolia, TX

Pay: $400 per week (starting)
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday (Off Sunday & Monday, and off 2 Saturdays per month)
Job Type: Full-Time

Fit Kitchen Meals is expanding and seeking a full-time Chef / Operations Manager to oversee daily kitchen production and operational flow. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains high-quality standards, and enjoys a mix of cooking, organizing, and managing.

We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented leader who is comfortable working independently and running a small, efficient kitchen with pride and consistency.

Responsibilities

Kitchen / Chef Responsibilities

  • Prep and cook meals according to Fit Kitchen recipes and portion standards

  • Prepare meals with dietary restrictions when needed (Fit Kitchen + MCD)

  • Maintain a clean, organized kitchen that meets all food safety standards

  • Complete batch cooking lists, prep lists, and production lists daily

  • Assist with breakfast meal prep

  • Oversee food safety protocols, sanitation logs, and proper storage practices

  • Lead kitchen operations during scheduled production days

Operations Responsibilities

  • Create and manage weekly staff schedules

  • Step into prep/cooking roles when coverage is needed

  • Assist with hiring, training, and onboarding new staff

  • Track inventory of ingredients, packaging, and supplies

  • Communicate shortages and place orders as needed

  • Receive and put away Wednesday grocery/truck deliveries

  • Create, update, and manage the weekly cleaning schedule

  • Ensure the facility meets all cleanliness and health code standards

  • Conduct regular walkthroughs and maintain organization throughout the workspace

Requirements

  • Experience as a cook, prep cook, or kitchen manager

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to self-manage and work independently

  • Reliable, punctual, and consistent

  • Can lift 30–40 lbs and stand for extended periods

  • Comfortable working in a structured, system-based kitchen

  • Available Tuesday–Saturday, with Sundays & Mondays off, plus 2 Saturdays off each month
