Certified Welding Inspector

This role focuses on managing welding qualifications, inspections, and training activities for both manual and robotic welding.

Requirements of the Certified Welding Inspector

• Active Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
• Background in both manual welding and robotic welding processes
• Experience conducting qualification testing for welders
• Ability to review technical details for quoting and provide input to estimating teams
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfortable assessing welders during interviews or hands-on evaluations
• Experience training welders, including those new to robotic welding
• Strong communication skills and responsiveness

Responsibilities of the Certified Welding Inspector

• Perform qualification testing for manual welders and robotic welders (cobots)
• Review technical information related to quote packages and provide feedback
• Participate in customer audits and ensure all welding-related requirements are met
• Maintain accurate and current qualification records for all welders
• Assist in evaluating welding candidates through practical assessments
• Develop or update training programs for robotic welding, especially for beginners
• Provide timely responses to internal teams and customer inquiries

Pay is $80,000 - $85,000 annually, based on experience
