Reports to: Engineering Manager
Overview:Join a premier provider of instrument, avionics, and aircraft power solutions as a Certification Engineer. In this role, you’ll lead the testing and certification of electrical equipment to support FAA TSO, STC, and PMA activities. You’ll manage the full testing lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and author certification test plans, reports, and project documentation
• Execute test programs to verify compliance with FAA and quality standards
• Coordinate with external test labs and resources
• Assist in prototype builds and evaluations
• Design and specify testing equipment
• Evaluate new technologies to enhance certification processes
• Provide production test support as needed

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years of experience in testing and certifying electrical equipment
• Familiarity with industry, regulatory, or military standards/specifications
• Proficient in using Oscilloscopes, DVMs, data acquisition systems, and other electrical test equipment
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, and results-driven
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
• Experience with RTCA DO-160, DO-311A, MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F, and FAA TSO
