As a CDL Class A Driver, you will travel throughout our New Jersey service area picking up food donations from retail stores and food distributors and/or making food deliveries to network partners and communities. You will drive safely and defensively, maintain equipment function, and observe all CFBNJ and DOT required safety policies, laws and practices. 

What you’ll do in your role:   

• Physically touch freight to organize trailer of food throughout the day. Actively and consistently lifts 50+ pounds of freight (typically boxes of food) at stops throughout day. This is not dock-to-dock sitting-only driving work
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations
• Keep record of time, mileage, pallets shipped and received, any mechanical problems and general remarks

What you’ll need to be successful in this role:   

• High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year of professional driving experience operating a Commercial Motor Vehicle required
• Current and valid CDL Driver's License, DOT Medical Card required
• Ability to perform for heavy labor work with customer service , compassionate & professional demeanor, exceptional attention to detail  
• Forklift experience
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and to achieve distribution goals of CFBNJ

The hourly range for this position is $24.00-$32.47. The final rate may be influenced by factors such as the position's scope and responsibilities, work experience, training, job-related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
