Capital Project Manager - 12 months

Are you an experienced Project Manager with expertise in capital works projects? We are a growing social housing provider of quality homes in the Southeast of England and would like to hear from people who are passionate about delivering high-impact capital works, driving innovation, and improving lives through better housing, this is your opportunity to lead with purpose. This role is based in our Property (Services) directorate which employs over 300 people, many of whom have worked here for some years and have knowledge and experience to support you in the achievement of your goals.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Oversee the full life cycle of capital works projects-from detailed surveys and specifications to tendering and delivery
- Manage a shared budget of £10 million across diverse remits including insurance, disrepair, structural, and investment works
- Ensure compliance with Decent Homes Standard, CDM 2015 regulations, and carbon reduction targets
- Lead contract administration, procurement (JCT), and health & safety (including asbestos and risk management)
- Build strong partnerships with contractors and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, cost-effective outcomes
- Provide strategic updates on financials, delivery, H&S, and customer satisfaction

What We're Looking For:
- Professional Surveying Qualification (MCIOB, AssocRICS) and/or equivalent experience
- HND or Degree in Building Construction/Surveying
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing large-scale property capital works
- Strong knowledge of JCT contracts, CDM2015, NHF SOR, and QS principles
- Commercially astute with excellent analytical, planning, and leadership skills
- A pragmatic problem-solver with a passion for customer service and innovation
- Report writing skills with a good and a good understanding of procurement processes and procedures in a regulated environment
- Full UK driving licence required and to vehicle
Where could this role take you?
Whilst this role is fixed term for 12 months, in a business our size; circa 680 employees and turnover £150m+ (which is growing) and with the transformation we are going through, there is a possibility that this could either be extended, made permanent or other suitable opportunities may arise. Many of our talented colleagues started at Paradigm as temporary/interim and have gone on to forge successful careers with us. However, if something longer term doesn't materialise, you will still gain valuable experience which will add to your employability in this and similar fields
