Job DescriptionJob Description

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications.

• Install and maintain wiring, control systems, lighting systems, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components.

• Diagnose electrical problems using test equipment and hand tools.

• Ensure compliance with the California Electrical Code and local building codes.

• Perform inspections of existing electrical systems and suggest improvements or upgrades.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

• Collaborate with other construction professionals such as HVAC technicians, plumbers, and general contractors.

• Adhere to all health and safety standards, including PPE and OSHA compliance.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid California Journeyman Electrician Certification issued by the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).

• Minimum 4 years of on-the-job electrical experience or completion of a certified apprenticeship program.

• Strong knowledge of the California Electrical Code and Electrical Code (NEC).

• Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs.

• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience with solar systems, EV charging stations, or smart home systems.

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Work Environment:

• Work may be performed indoors or outdoors, sometimes in extreme temperatures.

• Physically demanding: must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, climb, and stand for long periods.
