Calibration Lead Engineer in Norwich, Norfolk

Position 1 Recruitment are delighted to be working with a service provider on testing equipment, who are seeking a skilled and motivated Calibration Lead Engineer with an electrical bias to join the technical team.

Key Responsibilities:
* Perform calibration of primarily electrical test equipment, as well as environmental, pressure, and torque devices.
* Conduct fault finding and basic repairs, including soldering where necessary.
* Maintain and update the calibration database and filing systems accurately.
* Support on-the-job training for junior technicians or colleagues when required.
* Assist in the development and improvement of calibration and inspection procedures.
* Participate in external and internal audits (e.g., BSI audits).
* Liaise effectively with customers and suppliers via telephone and email.
Requirements:
* A technical qualification such as Degree, HND, HNC, or NVQ/BTEC Level 3 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline ().
* Extensive calibration experience with a strong electrical bias.
* Solid understanding of calibration practices and theories, including analogue and digital circuit analysis.
* Competency with Windows-based software; experience using Transmille ProCal and ProCal Track is advantageous but not essential.
* Proficient in basic repairs and soldering techniques.
* Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, including experience supporting BSI audits.
* Must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel occasionally.
