Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAdecco is assisting a local client in hiring a CAD Technician/Drafter in East Providence, RI to work Monday to Friday on 1st shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
CAD Technician/Drafter Responsibilities:
- Use SolidWorks CAD/AutoCAD to detail progressive tools and dies accurately and efficiently, within specified time frames, to needed engineering specifications.
- Create 3D models & 2D engineering drawings with computer aided software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD); and build up BOM & specification sheet (Specs).
- Detail diagrams, schematics, layouts, multi-view, and various drawings according to internal and/or customer needs.
- Prepare 2D/3D detailed drawings, making certain the design meets the customer part and die or machine specifications.
- Modify/improve products to eliminate malfunctions and obtain specified functional and operational performance.
- Evaluate and confirm plastic molding (e.g., injection) & metal tooling process (e.g., progressive die) according to mechanical mold design principle.
- Provide support to tool room staff and machine operators where needed.
CAD Technician/Drafter Qualifications:
- Successful completion of high school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of CAD training at a technical school or equivalent experience.
- Must be proficient using SolidWorks CAD/AutoCAD systems to design and create drawings.
- Must be proficient using Microsoft Office products.
- Able to research, understand and implement new technologies for possible cost savings and process improvements.
- Must have the ability to work independently, proactively and meet deadlines.
- Utilizes strong communication, leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and present technical data, documents, information, and design specifications.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
