PrideStaff is looking for an experienced and meticulous Mid-Level CAD Operator to join an industrial consultant team located in Charlotte, NC. The primary focus of this role is to translate design concepts into accurate, production-ready drawings, with a specialization in sheet metal work.

Location: Charlotte, NC 28270

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay Rate: $20-$25/hour *based on experience
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, modify, and manage 2D drawings and 3D models of parts and assemblies.
• Must be proficient in SolidWorks as the primary CAD platform.
• Expertly conduct sheet metal design work, including modeling, applying bend allowances, and generating flat patterns.
• Prepare comprehensive draft drawings to be sent directly to external fabricators.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure designs are accurate and manufacturable.
• Maintain organized CAD file structure and ensure proper version control.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional experience as a CAD Operator/Designer.
• Must be proficient in SolidWorks.
• Demonstrated experience in sheet metal design and drafting.
• Familiarity with various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication).
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
