Job Summary

The CAD Department Operator is responsible for producing drawings and specifications based on information provided by customers and engineers.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Review project files for completeness and accuracy
• Determine correct canopy dimensions based on customer requirements and deck panel limitations
• Produce precise project drawings with current structural, fascia, and gutter details
• Use AutoCAD daily to create and modify drawings
• Work efficiently under time constraints and project deadlines
• Experience with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, Router-CIM, AXYZ, or Tekla Structures is a plus
• Embody and uphold the company’s core values in all tasks and interactions

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Stay current on brand and customer drawing standards
• Continuously improve and simplify drawings, details, and manufacturing methods
• Manage print jobs and maintain printing equipment as needed
• Support teammates within the CAD Department and assist other departments when questions arise
• Generate fabrication drawings using 3D modeling
