Job Title: CAD & Production Engineer\nSalary: £30,000–£40,000 per annum\nLocation: North East England\n\nA well-established metal processing business is seeking a CAD & Production Engineer to support the running of their new CNC steel processing line. The company supplies metal products nationwide and continues to invest heavily in automation, technology, and people.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCAD & Technical Processing\n\n * Import, verify, and manage DSTV/NC1 files from industry-standard detailing software\n\n * Optimise nesting and material usage across full-length sections to minimise waste\n\nProduction Control & Coordination\n\n * Plan and schedule CNC drilling line operations to maintain continuous production flow\n\n * Manage tooling and consumables to ensure consistent, high-speed performance\n\n * Coordinate with operations and materials teams to ensure correct stock availability at infeed\n\nSkills & Experience Required\n\n * Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or structural detailing software\n\n * Experience in a production-driven or lean manufacturing environment\n\n * High attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * A key role within a modern, automated steel processing facility\n\n * Genuine ownership of a critical production process\n\n * Long-term, stable employment with a growing business\n\n * Opportunity to work with advanced CNC steel processing technology
