As we expand, we’re looking for driven individuals who are passionate about what they do and take pride in delivering top-tier service. We are currently seeking an on-site HVAC CAD Drafter / BIM Modeler in our Manchester, CT office to join our pre-construction coordination team.

Job Summary

The HVAC CAD Drafter / BIM Modeler is responsible for creating HVAC and plumbing shop drawings, leading and participating in coordination meetings, and supporting field operations through detailed construction documentation. This is an on-site position based in Manchester, CT.

Key Responsibilities

• Create duct, piping, and plumbing shop drawings, including takeoffs, spool drawings, and coordination with other trades
• Lead and participate in coordination meetings using 3D models
• Perform clash detection using Autodesk Navisworks and develop practical solutions
• Collaborate with GCs, engineers, designers, and field staff
• Conduct site visits for measurement and condition verification
• Review and verify mechanical equipment submittals and release for manufacturing
• Ensure drawings meet project specs and field requirements

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar CAD/BIM role
• Proficient in AutoCAD MEP and Autodesk Navisworks
• Strong understanding of HVAC ducting, piping, and plumbing systems
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Valid driver’s license in good standing

• Experience with commercial and industrial HVAC installations
• Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, or similar tools is a plus
• Experience leading BIM coordination meetings
