Summary:
We are hiring a CAD Technician to join our Land Development team in Houston, TX! The Technician will support engineers and designers on projects of increasing complexity while completing detailed drawings in a collaborative environment using computer-aided design programs with a focus on Commercial and Residential Land Development projects. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple design tasks simultaneously while maintaining high-quality output. Ultimately, the Design Technician helps bridge the gap between design concepts and practical implementation, facilitating efficient project workflows and client satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical design or drafting within a business services or related industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or equivalent design tools.
- Strong understanding of technical drawing standards, symbols, and conventions.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with Land Development design concepts, including site layout, drainage, paving, and grading.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Experience with 3D modeling software and BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools.
- Familiarity with project management software and workflows.
- Certification in CAD or related technical design fields.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and produce detailed technical drawings, schematics, and plans using CAD software based on project requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to review design concepts and incorporate feedback into final drawings.
- Ensure all design documentation complies with relevant codes, standards, and company quality guidelines.
- Maintain and update design files and records to reflect changes and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in troubleshooting design issues and provide technical support during project execution phases.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to clarify design details and resolve discrepancies.
- Participate in design review meetings and contribute technical insights to improve project outcomes.
