Are you a skilled CAD/CAM Programmer with a passion for precision engineering? The Best Connection is currently recruiting on behalf of our well-established engineering client based in Wolverhampton, who are looking for a permanent CAD/CAM Programmer to join their growing team.
This exciting opportunity focuses on programming 3-5 axis CNC milling machines using efficient, cost-effective methods, ensuring high-quality and on-time delivery of machined components.
Key Responsibilities:
Create CNC CAD/CAM programs for 3-5 axis CNC milling machines
Prove-out programs on machines to ensure first-time quality and readiness
Collaborate with machining technicians to solve daily production challenges and implement permanent corrective actions
Deliver proven programs in line with production schedules to maintain spindle uptime
Generate accurate setup sheets and tooling logs to support consistent setups
Design and select appropriate tooling and fixturing to improve machining efficiency
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects by delivering programs to agreed timelines
Assist the quality team in investigating non-conformances and contributing to root cause analysis and corrective actions
Requirements:
Proven experience in CAD/CAM programming for multi-axis CNC milling machines
Strong understanding of tooling, fixturing, and machining techniques
Background in working with various metal materials in a precision engineering environment
Excellent problem-solving skills with a commitment to continuous improvement
Ability to work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams
