We're looking for a unicorn as this isn't your typical analyst role. As the sole Business Systems Analyst in the company, you'll work directly with leadership and stakeholders across all departments to improve processes and implement scalable systems. You will spearhead one of our most critical initiatives: driving the future of our ERP by either enhancing our current system (Deltek Costpoint) or leading the transition to a new one. If you thrive on building order out of complexity, love collaborating with both shop floor and senior leadership, and want the excitement of touching every part of the business, this role is for you!
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the companywide ERP initiative by assessing the current use of Deltek Costpoint, evaluating alternatives, and driving implementation.
- Design and implement business systems strategies including SaaS, ERP, CRM, and manufacturing systems.
- Partner with leadership and stakeholders to analyze processes, document workflows, and recommend improvements.
- Translate business needs into system requirements and practical software solutions.
- Manage the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering, testing, go-live, and post-launch support.
- Drive process documentation and create future state workflows that align with scalable growth.
- Identify and integrate technology solutions that improve efficiency, data visibility, and cost savings.
- Serve as the go-to liaison between departments, IT, and vendors to ensure projects stay on track.
- Document and maintain business process flows, user stories, use cases, and system requirements.
- Support compliance with IT governance, NIST 800-171, and security standards.
Typical Working Conditions:
Primarily an office environment with periodic exposure to the fabrication/machine shop and outdoor testing areas. Depending on the project, there may be occasional travel to customer job sites. JFT has implemented a 9/80 work schedule, and the office is closed every other Friday.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work on a computer (standing or sitting) for most of the day and operate standard office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with team members, customers and vendors is essential. May occasionally lift and carry items, typically under 25lbs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors of Science in IT, Business, Engineering or relevant field.
- At least 5 years of experience successfully managing business systems implementation projects.
- Experience with ERP implementation with Microsoft Business Central, NetSuite or Deltek Costpoint experience .
- Proven experience leading full cycle system implementations or major upgrades with experience in manufacturing and fabrication environments .
- Proven ability to unite people, processes, data, and technology with a relentless focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Able to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements.
- Business acumen with knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, fiscal management, and the ability to report project status clearly and succinctly.
- Demonstrated success in delivering outcomes such as cost savings, efficiency improvements and risk reduction.
- Adept at project management tools including Microsoft Project and Excel.
- Comfort with data migrations, EDI/API integrations, and Azure cloud environments .
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A "can-do" attitude and the ability to thrive in a role with both autonomy and impact.
- This position requires the incumbent to work with export-controlled items.
