Business Support Analyst (Petroleum/Fuel)

Bacik Group is actively seeking a Business Analyst with experience with fuel (managing, accountability  to help support contractual obligations for Defense Logistics Agency Energy's Business Process Support Directorate (BPSD) located at Fort Belvoir, VA.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Provide support to one of the following BPSD processes: Order Fulfillment, Planning, Sustainment, or Auditability.
  • Perform a variety of tasks that are less complex in nature but can be numerous, i.e. transaction errors.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment on assigned task.
  • Work primarily with Microsoft office products: Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook among other software products and within an Enterprise Business System comprised of SAP Sales and Distribution, as well as Traders and Schedulers Workbench among other components.

Tasks:

  • Reports/Tracking: help monitor and maintain systems - SAP Enterprise Central Component (ECC), Fuels Management Defense (FMD), Invoices Receipt Acceptance and Property Transfer (IRAPT), IS Oil Traders and Schedulers Workbench, Advanced Planner and Optimizer (APO), and SAP Business Objects. Manually generate reports, metrics, and spreadsheets as directed by the BPSD Contracting Officer's Representative and coordinate with the cognizant BPSD Government Team Lead (GTL).
  • Transaction Management: add, change, delete, and review transactions and resolve system-generated errors in SAP Enterprise Central Component (ECC), Fuels Management Defense (FMD), Invoices Receipt Acceptance and Property Transfer (IRAPT), IS Oil Traders and Schedulers Workbench, Advanced Planner and Optimizer (APO), and SAP Business Objects. Transaction management changes are not complex in nature, but repetitive and numerous and are usually the result of interface issues, system design, or erroneous manual input.
  • Help Tickets: assist in the creation, maintenance, escalation, tracking, and resolution of these requests for help based on BPSD COR/GTL direction. This includes various metrics associated with help tickets received via phone, email, and Service Desk Express.
  • Correspondence Management: create, revise, and maintain many variations of documents related to administrative and business system functions in accordance with guidance provided by the COR/GTL. These include but are not limited to documents involving office correspondence, reference libraries, Job Aids, evidential matter, desk guides, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), requests for system changes, official government forms, and other related documentation, including electronic documents/email.
  • Meeting Management: coordinate with the BPSD COR/GTL to perform one or more of the following tasks for a specific meeting - attend the meeting, participate in the meeting, schedule the meeting, prepare and synopsize the agenda, maintain attendance list, and/or provide minutes of the discussion.
  • End-User Training: assist the BPA in creating one or more end-user training tasks such as job aids, desk guides, SOP, online training, and process flow development.
  • System Testing: coordinate with the COR/GTL to participate in the testing of additions and/or changes to systems’ functionality that affect a particular process in the BPSD. The Analyst shall issue these changes in a system testbed before deployment. Tests are usually transactional in nature and require documentation and step-by-step actions to achieve a predetermined outcome. The Analyst shall perform these actions to ensure the desired outcome is achieved; otherwise, note negative outcome and provide feedback, as requested.

Minimum Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum Experience: 6 years experience with Petroleum industry.  Relevant experience may be substituted for the minimum education requirement if the candidate has demonstrated at least 4 years’ experience in supporting analysis activities that display the duties and responsibilities above.
