Business Operations Manager - KIND
Job Purpose/Overview
This role is the primary leader of strategic business planning & decision making across the business and through the S&OP+ process. The role will identify & drive efficiency across the business, building capabilities & discipline to enable the UK strategy.
This role also has accountability for leading & delivering the Activity and Project Management functional requirements in the UK.
As a key member of the KIND UK Leadership Team, you will help build and deploy the next phase of business growth, supporting the development of a great UK team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the S&OP+ process for the UK, managing the interface with key regional processes and MW UK S&OP+ in accordance with agreed practices & principles
- Step 1, 2, 4 & 5 Facilitator: Prepares agenda and facilitates decision making by the KIND UK Leadership Team and develops escalation cases to raise to the regional S&OP+ process.
- Proactively managing any risks & opportunities through effective and collaborative communication with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders, including the regional Leadership Team.
- Identify gaps, drive change management as required, hold step owners & facilitators accountable for delivering best practices.
- Identifying the next phase of efficiency, data led decision making to drive NSV and profit and ensuring the processes reflect this next stage
Activity and Project Management
- Understand and deliver against the key activity management priorities for the UK across a 3 year time horizon. This will include portfolio, activity and wider business projects including I.T, capability and process implementation.
- Create and manage local project timelines, identifying the critical path steps, key decision points and issues that may require escalations through effective coordination with all key stakeholders
- Leadership of certain projects from initial project request to completion in market, meeting critical KPIs against the business strategy.
Communication
- Coordinate UK business communication. This will include; strategy debriefs, periodic business updates, communication with Mars Wrigley S&OP+, KIND EMEA S&OP+ and wider stakeholders as appropriate
Qualifications
Experience of working within a fast-paced, challenging and ambiguous environment with the ability to navigate complex situations and challenge the status quo with an anything is possible mindset.
- Experience of project management work, cross functionally and a broad range of projects, delivering on time and in full
- Creative and solution focused mindset with the ability to think outside the box and develop innovative initiatives and find ways to make our limited budget and resources stretch as far as possible to deliver the best ROI.
- A broad knowledge of how businesses run, S&OP+ knowledge preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, manage stakeholders and influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner and work with others across the organisation to achieve shared objectives and get work done.
- Strategic mindset to develop & deliver future plans. As a member of the UK leadership team you will input into the UK strategy evolution and drive leadership of its deployment. Completer: Can drive projects to completion, delivering against the detail through self and others
