Job DescriptionJob Description

We are a nationwide legal operations company helping law firms nationwide through subscription-based paralegal staffing, administrative support, consulting, and fractional COO services. Our U.S.-based team of seasoned legal professionals empowers small and midsize law firms to improve profitability, efficiency, and compliance through smarter systems and experienced people.

We’re seeking a motivated self-starter who thrives in relationship-driven sales and understands how law firms make operational and technology decisions to expand our client base and revenue through direct outreach, consultative sales, and relationship-driven growth initiatives. This is a fully remote position (with some travel occasionally for conferences, etc.), and candidate can sit anywhere in the U.S.

Position Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business and driving measurable revenue growth. This role owns the full sales cycle—from identifying and engaging prospects through closing contracts—and plays a key role in achieving our monthly and annual growth goals.

The ideal candidate is a proactive relationship builder who thrives in a fast-paced, consultative sales environment serving law firms, legal organizations, and professional-services clients.

Preference will be given to candidates who already maintain established relationships with law firm decision-makers, administrators, or legal operations professionals and can leverage those connections to build pipeline opportunities early in the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue

  • Identify, qualify, and engage prospective clients, including law firms, solo practitioners, and corporate legal departments.
  • Conduct outbound outreach via email, LinkedIn, referrals, and events to build a consistent pipeline.
  • Book qualified consultations to assess client needs and present tailored solutions.
  • Develop proposals, negotiate pricing and scope, and close new client contracts.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets tied to new recurring and project-based revenue.

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Collaborate with leadership to refine our sales playbook, pricing strategy, and consultative approach.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed pipeline tracking in our CRM.
  • Implement disciplined follow-up processes to increase conversion rates and shorten the sales cycle.
  • Analyze lead sources, conversion data, and client trends to continually improve performance.

Market Development

  • Monitor trends in the legal services and law-firm operations markets to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Research new segments (e.g., government, corporate legal departments, legal tech partners) to expand company's reach.
  • Attend select conferences and events to represent company, generate leads, and strengthen brand presence.

Collaboration

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients and accurate hand-offs to service teams.
  • Partner with CEO to align campaigns and messaging with business development goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of B2B sales, business development, or account management — ideally within legal tech or legal services
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and closing service-based contracts.
  • Comfortable selling to managing partners, firm administrators, and other legal decision-makers.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience using CRMs and data-driven reporting to manage pipelines.
  • High initiative and accountability; thrives in a remote, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ideal candidates bring a strong professional network in the legal or legal-tech space and can hit the ground running by engaging existing contacts in their first 30 days.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive base salary with uncapped quarterly and annual bonus potential. Total compensation projected to be in the six-figure range.
  • Leadership opportunity with a rapidly growing legal services company.
  • Flexible remote work with autonomy and growth potential.
  • Supportive, mission-driven team focused on innovation and client service.
  • Exposure to high-level legal operations and strategic decision-making.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Be part of a forward-thinking company redefining how law firms scale and operate.
  • Sell a high-value service that delivers measurable ROI to clients.
  • Work directly with leadership and have visible impact on company growth.
  • Build relationships across the legal and professional-services industries — not just hit quotas.
  • Join a culture built on collaboration, integrity, and innovation.
