Overview: PBC Linear is a leading manufacturer of linear components and electric linear actuators. We are searching for an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to promote & sell our Ball/Lead Screw Product Line nationwide. The ideal BDM candidate has extensive experience selling ball screw components and ball screw actuator products. Further capabilities include acting as a product manager, training our direct & indirect sales force, and overall responsibility to achieve success for the product line.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall business leadership for PBC Linear’s miniature ball/lead screw component product family; including the ball/lead screw actuator with integrated motor products (APC – Assigned Product Categories)
- Directly target sales at large OEM customers & secure programs / blanket orders for APC. Manage these orders with the inside sales team & operations to serve customer at a high level
- Work with and support RSM / TSM team at PBC linear to identify and target OEM sales within their territories for APC
- Develop the overall go-to-market strategy for PBC Linear for the APC
- Temporarily act as product manager for APC; includes voice-of-customer activities, competitive intelligence & analysis, pricing strategy, product positioning, product development direction, promotion and more
- Attend industry trade shows to identify targets and promote company for APC
- Work with Marketing to develop product collateral, promotional programs and overall marketing activities of APC
- Other tasks as assigned by Global VP of Sales & Marketing, and/or President of PBC Linear
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related 2 year technical degree preferably Mechanical
- 5+ years experience selling ball screw components preferably in a national or larger regional role
- Strong leadership & communication skills
- Strong negotiation and consultative sales engineering skills
- Willing and Able to sell value over price
- Ability to travel over 50% of the time
