Now Hiring: Building Safety Officer\n Location: London\n Salary: Up to £46,000\n Permanent, Full-time | Leading Housing Association\n\nWe are partnering with a leading Housing Association to recruit a proactive and skilled Building Safety Officer. This role is vital in ensuring high-risk residential buildings remain safe, compliant, and well-managed, with safety at the heart of every decision.\n\nThe Role\n\nReporting to the Building Safety Manager, you will work collaboratively across teams to deliver consistent building safety management for a portfolio of high-risk properties. You will:\n\nEnsure compliance with all building safety regulations, legislation, and landlord obligations\n\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date building safety cases and risk mitigation plans\n\nConduct regular inspections of high-risk buildings, identifying and addressing potential safety risks\n\nEngage with through proactive events, fostering trust and clear communication about safety responsibilities\n\nSupport the golden thread of information and maintain comprehensive records, including personal emergency evacuation plans (PEEPS)\n\nCollaborate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure the safe delivery of maintenance, remediation, and compliance activities\n\nStay up to date with changes in legislation, regulatory requirements, and best practices in building safety\n\nWhat We’re Looking For? \n\nStrong knowledge of building safety, fire safety, building regulations, and health and safety legislation\n\nUnderstanding of residential construction methods and active/passive fire protection measures\n\nExperience managing or coordinating building safety in high-risk residential environments\n\nExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills\n\nAbility to assess risks, prioritize actions, and escalate issues when necessary\n\nDesirable: CIOB Level 6, NEBOSH Fire Certificate, IOSH Managing Safely, understanding of data security related to safety compliance\n\nWhy Join This Housing Association?\n\nThis is your opportunity to join a values-led organisation committed to the safety and wellbeing of .
