This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded and practical Building Performance Engineer who enjoys working on-site, solving problems and helping clients demonstrate compliance with building regulations and industry standards.\n\nBuilding Performance Engineer Role:\n\nAs a Building Performance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of specialist testing services on new and existing buildings throughout Yorkshire. Working closely with clients, you will deliver accurate testing, provide technical expertise and support organisations in demonstrating compliance with building regulations and performance standards.\n\nTypical testing activities include:\n\nAir Tightness Testing\nSound Insulation Testing\nVentilation Testing\nHeat Transfer Coefficient Testing\nThermography Surveys\nBuilding Performance Engineer Key Responsibilities:\n\nDeliver a wide range of building performance testing services across Yorkshire.\nConduct testing, fault diagnosis and reporting on new and existing buildings.\nEnsure services are delivered accurately, efficiently and within agreed timescales.\nMaintain and manage testing equipment, tools and resources.\nIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery.\nProvide technical support and guidance to clients and colleagues.\nInvestigate and resolve technical issues and customer enquiries.\nMaintain accurate records, reports and documentation.\nEnsure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001 and company procedures.\nFollow all health, safety and environmental requirements.\nSupport business growth, innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.\nWhat They Are Looking For:\n\nEssential:\n\nPractical and methodical approach with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nExcellent communication and customer-facing skills.\nPC literate with the ability to utilise testing equipment and software.\nAbility to balance commercial considerations whilst maintaining a customer-focused approach.\nStrong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.\nFull UK Driving Licence.\nWillingness to travel throughout Yorkshire.\nDesirable:\n\nPrevious experience within building performance testing, building compliance, building services or a related technical environment.\nKnowledge of building regulations and industry standards.\nUnderstanding of ISO/IEC 17025 and quality management systems.\nExperience carrying out air tightness, acoustics, ventilation, thermography or related testing.\nBuilding Performance Engineer Key Attributes:\n\nProfessional and customer focused.\nHighly organised and dependable.\nPositive and proactive attitude.\nStrong analytical and technical skills.\nCommitted to continuous learning and development.\nAble to work independently whilst contributing effectively to a wider team.\nIf you are looking for an exciting opportunity as a Building Performance Engineer and would like to work for a respected industry leader delivering practical, science-based solutions, we would love to hear from you.\n\nApply now
