Job Title - Building Operations Manager \n Location - Peterborough \n Salary - £40,000 - £45,000 DOE\n Contract Type - Full-time, Permanent\n\nAbout the Role\n \n Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Building Operations Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of a high-profile Residential Block of Luxury Apartments within our clients portfolio.\n \n As the key on-site representative, you will ensure the building operates efficiently, safely, and in line with all compliance and tenant service standards. You’ll be the main point of contact for occupiers, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring a first-class environment for tenants and visitors alike.\n \n Key Responsibilities\n \nOversee the daily operations and maintenance of the building \nManage and coordinate hard and soft FM services, including cleaning, security, M&E, and waste \nConduct regular inspections to ensure health & safety, statutory compliance, and building standards are met \nRespond promptly to tenant queries and ensure high levels of occupier satisfaction \nSupervise service contractors and monitor performance against KPIs and SLAs \nSupport budgeting and cost control of service charge expenditure \nMaintain accurate building records, logs, and compliance documentation \nWork closely with the property and asset management teams to support wider operational and leasing goals About You\n \n To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong understanding of commercial property operations, excellent communication skills, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.\n \n Essential skills and experience include\n \nPrevious experience as a Building Manager or similar role in a commercial environment \nStrong knowledge of building systems and facilities management \nFamiliarity with health & safety, fire safety, and statutory compliance (IOSH/NEBOSH desirable) \nProven ability to manage contractors and service providers \nCustomer-focused mindset with excellent interpersonal skills \nOrganised, responsive, and capable of managing a dynamic workload Role Tasks \n \nProperty Inspections and Maintenance: Inspections and Reports \nFinance: Budgets and Client Accounts \nInsurance: Building \nMeetings: Client meetings \nCorrespondence and Administration \nBreaches of the Lease \nContractors \nComplaints What We Offer\n \nCompetitive salary and benefits \nA collaborative and supportive working environment \nOpportunities for professional development and training \nThe chance to manage a prominent commercial asset with autonomy and responsibility
