Building Management Systems Engineer (Electrical Background)
We’re looking for a Building Management Engineer with an electrical background to join our team and play a key role in keeping our facilities safe, efficient, and well-maintained. If you’re an experienced electrician who’s ready to take the next step in building and facilities engineering, this could be the role for you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Operating and maintaining Building Management Systems (BMS) and electrical infrastructure.
- Delivering planned preventative maintenance and responding to reactive repairs.
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Supporting mechanical, HVAC, and control systems to keep operations running smoothly.
- Conducting inspections to identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Working with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver effective building services.
- Maintaining accurate compliance and maintenance records.
- Assisting with upgrades, refurbishments, and new installations.
What we’re looking for:
- Qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience in building management, facilities, or engineering roles.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, BMS, HVAC, fire alarms, and access control.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively across the business.
