Building Maintenance Technician is a part time position and will focus on landscaping maintenance and updating, basic building maintenance, lot cleanup and maintenance, and some building repairs, depending upon skill and experience. Taskings will be done in direct coordination with the building manager. Building Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring that they are maintaining the building and the premises in a good a workmanlike manner to ensure that it is consistently representative of the quality and excellence that is foundational to WTI, Inc’s business standards
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain, repair, and keep in good clean order all common areas of the building, including the second-floor mezzanine, utilizing clean-as-you-go procedures.
Operate independently and efficiently to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and any items which require outside vendors are brought to the building manager’s attention.
Ensure that all the irrigation and landscaping systems are maintained and in good working order.
Remove trash and blow the parking lot at least once a week and the interior courtyard at least twice a week.
Effectively communicate with other employees in all departments regarding maintenance requests and maintain communication with the building manager regarding the ongoing issues and requests.
Perform other duties as requested by the building manager or department leads
REQUIREMENTS:
Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Frequently lift or move heavy instruments, up to 50 pounds, short distances
Be willing to work outside, regardless of weather.
A willingness to work with other team members while maintaining a positive attitude
Prior experience in construction, groundskeeping, landscaping or day porter services is very desirable.
Able to effectively communicate in English.
Eligible to work in the United States
Available for at least 20 hours per week.
