Role Overview
As BIM Manager, you will lead the Building Information Modeling (BIM) process across multiple residential projects. You will establish and manage BIM standards, coordinate model development, collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors and internal teams, and drive efficiencies from design through construction. This role reports to the Director of Construction and interacts regularly with project leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain BIM standards, procedures and workflows tailored for high-end residential construction.
- Lead model coordination, clash detection, and model review meetings with architects/engineers/subcontractors.
- Ensure BIM models support construction planning, cost estimating, scheduling, and field operations.
- Train and mentor project teams and subcontractors on BIM best practices and tools.
- Collaborate with estimating, scheduling and operations teams to integrate BIM data into project performance metrics.
- Manage model delivery, data hand-over, and ensure compliance with company quality standards.
- Monitor emerging BIM technologies and propose process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in BIM management for construction projects (residential is a plus).
- Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar platforms.
- Strong experience in clash detection, model coordination, and construction integration.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills-able to work cross-functionally and with external partners.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset.
Qualifications
- Licensed Architect in Florida
- Prior experience with custom or luxury home construction.
- Familiarity with cost estimating and schedule integration via BIM.
- Experience with script/automation in BIM (e.g., Dynamo, Python) or data extraction/analytics from BIM models.
- LEED, WELL, or similar certification is a bonus.
