LJB Engineering is a , multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm with five main business lines which include: Transportation, Water Resources, Geospatial and Site Design, Buildings Structure Design and Safety/Fall Protection Design/Installation. Our diverse expertise, client base, and geographies have enabled LJB to serve clients in all 50 U.S. states and several countries.

We are seeking a qualified Project Manager for the Bridge Service Line at any one of our offices in Ohio. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of progressive experience and possess the professional and interpersonal skills to make a positive impact on our firm and the clients we serve.

The successful candidate will possess a can-do attitude, have a passion for and take pride in their work, be a creative thinker, and have a willingness to collaborate while having the ability to work independently. A strong existing professional network and experience with DOT projects will assist in meeting the job requirements as a client-facing subject matter expert and project manager.

Annual Compensation: $95,000-185,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards. This position is also eligible for bonuses.

BRIDGE ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for management, scope, fees, and the profitability of individual projects and project portfolio.
• Point person and firm’s contact with clients while functioning as project manager.
• Assists in new sales with clients for which they are managing projects.
• Guides and coordinates internal LJB transportation disciplines with sub-consultants and clients.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Possesses an understanding of all transportation disciplines and requirements as related to bridge design projects.
• Responsible for assisting Deputy Operations Manager in maintaining PM best practices.
• On larger projects, may or may not be involved directly in the design.
• Apprise Operations Management of employee performance on projects.
• Provide information to Deputy Operations Manager on future projects so they can manage staffing.
• Assist in informal development of other employees.
• Other duties as assigned.

BRIDGE ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field required; M.S. degree in a relevant discipline is .
• P.E. license required.
• Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus.

Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of experience in consulting or engineering.
• Experience working with DOTs required.
• Project team leadership experience.
• Project and client management experience.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal communications skills.
• Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills required.
• MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil-3D software experience is .
