Farmer Brothers’ Revive™ Service & Restoration team keeps commercial coffee and tea equipment running at its best. As a Field Service Specialist, you’ll install, service, and remove brewing and beverage dispensing systems for a defined customer base—owning parts management, precise documentation, and disciplined call closure every step of the way.
A day in the field
- Start prepared: Review your route within a ~100-mile radius, check truck stock against replenishment guidelines, and confirm scheduled work orders.
- On-site impact: Perform installations, repairs, and removals of coffee and beverage equipment; complete preventive maintenance and surveys; jump on unscheduled and emergency calls when needed.
- Communicate clearly: Provide timely updates to customers and internal teams; capture customer feedback and requests for management and partner departments.
- Close it right: Finish with accurate call closure—documenting work performed, obtaining required signatures, and ensuring invoices are complete.
Schedule & travel
- Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule, including after hours and weekends.
- Drive primarily within a 100-mile radius in most markets; occasional regional travel may be required.
What you’ll own
- Customer-focused installs, repairs, and removals for designated regional accounts.
- All scheduled and unscheduled service activities, including emergency service calls, preventive maintenance, surveys, and installations.
- Participation in planning, scheduling, and execution of equipment installations.
- Spare parts/equipment management within replenishment guidelines.
- Thorough documentation, activity verification, and complete call closure (work details, invoices, and customer signatures).
- Prompt, clear communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Adherence to service level agreements for customer programs.
- Effective task management and prioritization to meet expectations.
QualificationsEducation & experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 3 years of mechanical and technical experience required.
- Foodservice background .
- Experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and use of tech/test meters .
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable traveling within a 100+ mile radius of the branch.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and diagnostic ability for equipment issues.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs frequently.
- Proven ability to handle both scheduled and unscheduled work, including emergency calls, preventive maintenance, surveys, and installs.
