Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with cranes, and will be responsible for operating a boom truck crane to lift, move, and position lumber trusses in a safe and efficient manner. In this position you will be working 40 to 50+ hours per week.

Duties:

- Operate cranes in a safe and efficient manner to lift, move, and position materials as required.

- Conducting a safe work zone during each job site delivery.

- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate lifting operations and ensure safety protocols are followed.

- Perform pre-trip inspections, accurately track inventory, and precisely move materials. Determining where to set the material, some small freight will be hand unloaded.

- Provide customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery and collecting entire due amount on COD deliveries.

- Adhering to assigned delivery schedules and following all job directives precisely.

- Follow all safety regulations and company policies while operating equipment on site.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Crane Operator with a strong background in heavy equipment operation.

- Minimum: Valid Class A CDL with good driving record, obeying all traffic laws and weight limits.

- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment is essential.

- NCCCO Certification with Crane/Boom setting roof trusses certification. TSS endorsement required.

- Minimum: The ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly, as well as to stand, bend, climb, twist, and reach throughout complete shifts. Plus: ability to drive a forklift.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40-50 per week
