Job Description
BMS Project Engineer\n\nSalary: £60,000 – £65,000 + benefits\n Location: London & South East (Travel to client sites required)\n Employment Type: Full-time\n\nAbout the Role\n\nMy client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced BMS Project Engineer to join their BEMS Optimisation division, playing a key role in delivering impactful projects and driving long-term energy and performance improvements for customers.\n\nYou will be responsible for managing small to medium-sized projects including system upgrades, optimisation works, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance. You’ll also be responsible for creating and modifying software strategies, supporting Project Managers, and leading small on-site delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead the delivery of BMS project works and support high-level integration\nManage projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget\nPlan, schedule and coordinate works effectively\nLiaise with internal management, clients and third parties to achieve project goals\nOversee installation and commissioning activities on site\nDevelop and deploy client works from concept through to handover\nSupport business growth through knowledge sharing and continual development\nBuild and maintain strong client relationships and ensure site performance improvements where possible\nMaintain full Health & Safety compliance including RAMS review, site assessments and certification upkeep\nAbout You\n\nProven experience in Building Management Systems maintenance\nElectrical or Electronic Engineering qualification (HNC/ONC or equivalent)\nStrong experience with Trend (IQ Vision desirable) and/or Tridium\nExperience with Cylon desirable\nExcellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail\nStrong understanding of site operations and stakeholder expectations\nProactive, purpose-driven and values-led mindset\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nResilient, positive and collaborative team player\nFull UK driving licence\nEligibility to work in the UK\nBenefits\n\n£60,000 – £65,000 salary depending on experience\nElectric company car or enhanced car allowance with EV salary sacrifice options\nOvertime rates of 1.5x or 2x where applicable\nWorking away allowance for overnight stays\nOn-call allowance\n37.5 hour working week with paid overtime where applicable\n25 days annual leave increasing to 28 + bank holidays\nHoliday buy/sell scheme\nContributory pension scheme (5% matched)\nLife insurance & private medical insurance\nEnhanced family leave\nEmployee Assistance Programme & Online GP service\nCycle to work scheme\nAnnual railcard\nAnnual flu jab & eye test\nProfessional development & sustainability allowance\nSustainable travel days & paid volunteer days\nPaid professional membership
