BMS Project Engineer
Job Description
What you will do \n\nAs BMS project design engineer, you will lead the solution development, design, costing and technical value proposition in response to customers specifications and client requirements.\n\nThis is a remote or hybrid-based position with approx. 20% travel expected\n\nHow you will do it \n\nAssess technical requirements for BMS integration, ensuring alignment with client needs and industry best practices.\n\nWork closely with external and internal stakeholders to develop optimized and cost-effective BMS solutions.\n\nObtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective and competitive services/products.\n\nPrepare technical documents, including system architecture, technical solution descriptions, and compliance checklists.\n\nIdentify cost-saving opportunities without compromising functionality or performance, ensuring the most efficient solution for the project.\n\nIncorporate client feedback, competitive intelligence, and market insights to refine technical proposals and contribute to project success.\n\nAlign designs with UK industry standards, building regulations, and energy efficiency mandates to maintain project viability.\n\nCreate detailed cost breakdowns, ensuring transparency in scope-to-cost alignment. Conduct cost walkthroughs with clients and contractors to validate budget accuracy and optimized pricing strategies.\n\nAssist sales team in solution validation, prepare/present technical information and address client concerns effectively.\n\nAnalyze competitor solutions to position proposals effectively and ensure differentiation in terms of value, performance, and innovation.\n\nWhat we look for \n\nRequired \n\nExperience of BMS solution design and project cost estimation\n\nStrong technical ability working on small, large and complex BMS Projects\n\nAble to demonstrate the ability to use PDF (Documents & Drawings), MS Visio, and all Microsoft Office packages including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel and Word\n\nKnowledge and experience in identifying BMS specs, scope of work and system requirements.\n\nKnowledge and experience of how to design the BMS Main Structure/operation scenarios in line with the specs & requirements.\n\nPreferred\n\nBCRIA Certificated / Engineering Degree\n\nAbility to Create / Control Valve & Actuator Selection and create Valve Schedules\n\nAutoCAD experience\n\nIf you are successful we can offer you a company culture that promotes work life balance, a commitment to continued learning and development, access to mental health support, a fantastic benefits package which includes a competitive salary, pension, life assurance, employee assistance program, employee referral scheme, discount on our security products, cycle to work, eye care vouchers and holiday purchase.\n\n#LI-CR1\n\n#remote
