BMS Engineer\n\nLocation: Gatwick (Site‑based)\nSector: Built Environment / Energy / Estates\nSalary: Competitive + package\n\nMech Electrics is recruiting a BMS Engineer to support building‑services and energy works at Gatwick. You’ll work on BMS installations, integration and optimisation across complex live buildings, supporting energy efficiency and decarbonisation initiatives.\n\nAbout Us – Mech Electrics\n\nMech Electrics is a specialist recruitment partner operating across the built environment, supporting MEP contractors and energy‑delivery organisations working on complex, operational buildings and estates.\n\nWe work closely with long‑standing clients delivering mechanical, electrical and energy upgrades across major sites, and have been appointed to manage recruitment for this Gatwick‑based BMS engineering role.\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nThis role is based on the Gatwick estate, supporting building‑services and energy projects across a diverse portfolio of operational buildings.\n\nThe focus is on:\n\n * BMS installation, upgrades and integration\n\n * Supporting energy efficiency and decarbonisation works\n\n * Ensuring systems operate reliably within a live, high‑compliance environment\n\nThis is not a call‑out‑heavy service role. It’s a planned, delivery‑focused BMS position, working alongside MEP delivery teams and estates stakeholders.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a BMS Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring building‑management systems operate correctly, efficiently and in line with site requirements.\n\nTypical responsibilities will include:\n\n * Installation, configuration and commissioning of BMS systems\n\n * Modifying and optimising existing BMS installations\n\n * Fault‑finding and system diagnostics\n\n * Supporting integration with mechanical and electrical plant\n\n * Working alongside Project Managers and Site Managers\n\n * Ensuring compliance with site processes and permit systems\n\n * Producing accurate commissioning and handover documentation\n\n * Supporting energy optimisation and operational improvements\n\nYou’ll be trusted to work methodically and professionally in a regulated, live environment.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nThis role suits a BMS Engineer who is technically confident and comfortable working on large, operational estates.\n\n * Proven experience as a BMS Engineer\n\n * Experience installing, commissioning or supporting BMS systems\n\n * Familiarity with common BMS platforms (e.g.
