Your next shift
As our Blow Molding Maintenance Technician on second shift, you’ll be the go-to expert who keeps blow molding operations humming. From changeovers and mold hangs to troubleshooting tough faults, your work ensures uptime, quality, and safety on the floor.
What a day might look like
- Walk the line to verify bottle quality and adherence to specifications; adjust processes to maintain standards.
- Operate and maintain blow molding equipment producing containers in multiple sizes and colors.
- Perform set-ups, including hanging molds and preparing machines to run efficiently.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime.
- Care for supporting utilities and peripherals: chillers, air compressors, grinders, and blenders.
- Recommend better methods and smarter use of equipment to boost department efficiency.
- Partner with supervisors to resolve manufacturing problems; pitch in and assist operators across shifts as needed.
- Champion safety and GMP—enforce rules and keep work areas orderly and audit-ready.
- Tackle additional tasks as assigned to support production goals.
What you bring
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years in manufacturing maintenance; blow molding maintenance experience .
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair capability.
- Background with plastic extrusion and blow molding processes.
- Comfort with long periods of standing; able to lift, carry, and twist with up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to work in both temperature-controlled and non-controlled areas; exposure to higher noise levels depending on location.
- Ability to wear a full-face respirator when required.
- Work aligned to Health and Safety GMP regulations; available for overtime as needed.
Compensation
Hourly pay from $30.00 to $35.00, plus a $0.75/hour differential for hours worked after 1st shift. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available, and you’ll be eligible for a 3% quarterly incentive bonus. Final compensation is negotiable based on your experience and skills.
