Job Description

Biology Laboratory Technician – Cell Culture & Protein Analysis

Location: Laboratory-based, Bavaria, Germany

Are you a skilled laboratory professional with experience in cell culture, protein purification, and molecular biology techniques?

I am supporting a fast-growing scientific organisation in their search for a Biology Laboratory Technician to join a dedicated biolaboratory team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment and contribute to research that supports food, environmental, and toxicological analysis.

The Role

As a Biological Technical Assistant, you will:

• Cultivate and maintain semi-adherent cell lines within sterile conditions.
• Perform antibody clean-up using affinity chromatography and carry out associated quality checks.
• Conduct functional protein assays, including affinity and competition testing.
• Support binding studies and optimisation of proteins.
• Undertake a variety of molecular biology tasks to support ongoing projects.

Candidate Profile

We would like to hear from individuals who have:

• A completed BTA qualification, biology laboratory assistant training, or equivalent scientific background.
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and routine molecular biology methods.
• Familiarity with protein purification or antibody workflows (affinity chromatography a plus).
• A meticulous, team-oriented approach and strong organisational skills.
• Good communication abilities in German; English skills are an advantage.
