Biochemical Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and
detail-oriented Biochemical Engineer
to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical
role in the design development and optimization of biochemical
processes for the production of bio-based products pharmaceuticals
renewable energy etc.. This role involves working
cross-functionally with research scientists process engineers and
quality assurance teams to ensure efficient and scalable

Key
Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize biochemical processes including
  fermentation cell culture enzymatic reactions and downstream
  purification.

• Scale
  laboratory processes to pilot and industrial scale ensuring process
  efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

• Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to
  implement new bioprocess technologies.

• Conduct process simulations and risk
  assessments to improve yield throughput and safety.

• Develop and maintain process
  documentation including SOPs batch records and process flow
  diagrams (PFDs).

• Analyze
  experimental data and prepare technical reports and presentations
  for internal and external stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with environmental health and
  safety (EHS) regulations and industry standards (e.g. GMP
  ISO).

• Evaluate and select
  equipment materials and technologies suitable for biochemical
  manufacturing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in
  Biochemical Engineering Chemical Engineering Biotechnology or a
  related field. Ph.D. is a plus.

• 25 years of hands-on experience in bioprocess development
  or biochemical manufacturing.

• Strong understanding of biochemistry microbiology and
  chemical engineering principles.

• Proficiency in using bioreactors chromatography systems
  and analytical instruments (e.g. HPLC GC
  spectrophotometers).

• Experience with process modeling software (e.g. Aspen Plus
  SuperPro Designer) is a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving communication and team
  collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in GMP-regulated
  environments.

• Knowledge
  of metabolic engineering or synthetic biology.

• Familiarity with PAT (Process
  Analytical Technology) and QbD (Quality by Design)
  principles.
