Are you a hands-on design engineer with a creative edge? Want to work on truly unique, customer-led projects from concept to completion?\n\nWe’re hiring a Bespoke (BIAB) Design Engineer for one of the UK’s most established manufacturers. You'll lead the design of one-off truck builds – from catering fit-outs and custom interiors to chassis modifications and integrated electrical/gas systems.\n\n What You’ll Be Doing:\n\n * \n\n Turn client concepts into detailed 2D/3D designs\n\n * \n\n Liaise with Sales, Distributors and Customers to refine and deliver bespoke solutions\n\n * \n\n Specify 12V, 230V, and LPG systems to current standards\n\n * \n\n Build BOMs, estimate costs, and ensure designs are right first time\n\n * \n\n Produce high-quality manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks\n\n ️ What You’ll Bring:\n\n * \n\n SolidWorks 3D CAD and engineering drawing expertise\n\n * \n\n Creative thinking with a practical, hands-on approach\n\n * \n\n Excellent communication and customer liaison skills\n\n * \n\n Strong attention to detail and documentation\n\n * \n\n An understanding of assemblies, furniture design, and light electrical/gas installations\n\n Requirements:\n\n * \n\n 5 GCSEs including English & Maths (Grade B or above)\n\n * \n\n Proven experience in SolidWorks (to be demonstrated at interview)\n\n * \n\n Experience in the creation of BOMs and drawings for manufacture\n\nThis is your opportunity to break away from repetitive design work and join a business that values craftsmanship, innovation, and variety.
