JOB DESCRIPTION.
The Behavioral Support Program Manager is responsible for leadership and management of the Behavioral Support Specialists (BSS) and Enhanced Care Management programs. Program Manager provides interventions and coaching of staff to help all children achieve their fullest potential while in the program. This position includes site crisis management, mentoring and coaching, liaison with school, liaison with SD Wellness Collaborative, staff onboarding and effective behavioral health management and strategies; primarily for Transitional Kindergarten (TK- ages 4-5) and children with special needs (i.e I/DD), through observations, interventions, groups, training, curriculum development and reflective supervision of staff. The position reports to the Program Director. The Behavioral Support Program Manager will provide services to students and co-facilitate Social Emotional Learning (SEL) groups with staff.
JOB COMPLEXITY

Responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing program policies and procedures that are enriched with positive behavior support and ensure that program staff adhere to program and Agency policies and procedures.

Responsible for ensuring personnel issues are proactively addressed in accordance with established contract and agency policies, procedures and timelines.

Accountable for the recruitment of direct reports and participate in the interviewing process for potential staff, interns and/or volunteers.

Ensure all student behavior plans and Transitional Behavioral Plans and other required documentation are completed within a specified timeline.

Facilitate SEL groups including, but not limited to, UTK and special needs youth.

Review and approve care plans for ECM and Housing Navigation.

Develop procedures and training materials for staff involved with students with challenging behaviors for the purpose of enhancing programs for students and ensuring that program operations are in compliance with established guidelines.

Responsible as liaison between APMs, school staff, ELO, and parents for meetings related to behavioral plans and management.

Supervise and coach all staff, interns and volunteers in the program adhering to SDUSD and Health Plans contracts requirements and Harmonium policies and practices; work to build staffs skills and confidence, and mentor, encourage, and motivate all staff using the reflective supervision mode.
MINIMUM COMPETENCIES.

Must hold a current and active California Clinical license (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) under the CA Department of ConsumerAffairs Board of Behavioral Sciences for a minimum of two years

Masters Degree required in social work, counseling, education, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years experience in crisis management ()

A minimum three years of direct supervision experience preferably working with children and adolescents.

Preference given to applicants that have experience as a Behavior Specialist with an emphasis on social emotional well-being.

Experience and knowledge of TK .

Experience with housing and homeless services .
COMPENSATION.

Starting Rate: $94,066.89 annually (all new hires begin at starting salary regardless of experience)
