Job Title: Battery Refurbishment Operative (BATT10)\n\nLocation: Sheffield (S20 Area)\n\nSalary: £12.50 per hour\n\nHours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm\n\nContract: Full-Time, Ongoing\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nAn exciting opportunity has become available within a multi- company based in Sheffield (S20), specialising in the design and manufacture of rail power systems for both trackside and vehicle-mounted use. With only one position available, early applications are strongly encouraged.\n\nKey Benefits:\n\n * Competitive hourly rate.\n\n * Great working hours with flexibility when required.\n\n * Supportive team environment.\n\n * Clean and well-maintained working conditions.\n\n * Reliable, ongoing employment.\n\n * Training and development opportunities.\n\nMain Duties:\n\n * Using a Forklift Truck (FLT) to move battery shells within the warehouse.\n\n * Processing batteries through refurbishment, formation, and cycling stages.\n\n * Investigating and resolving queries from processing and data collection.\n\n * Working within defined performance measures, including cost budgets.\n\n * Ensuring compliance with company EH&S (Environment, Health & Safety) practices.\n\n * Cleaning and maintaining batteries and shells.\n\n * Carrying out other reasonable duties as requested by management.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n\n * Strong focus on client satisfaction and quality standards.\n\n * Valid FLT licence but not essential (in-house licences accepted).\n\n * Good written and verbal communication skills.\n\n * Ability to work effectively as part of a team.\n\n * Physically fit, due to the manual nature of the role.\n\n * Previous knowledge of batteries or circuits is advantageous but not required
